Sohu's Brilliance
Sohu has been a portal website for decades, previously being the third largest portal website after Sina and NetEase. In the past, everyone used to watch news online on Sohu. Sohu News is particularly comprehensive, as well as Sohu Auto, Sohu Finance, and many other channels.
The Rise of Sina
Sina used to be a portal website, and Sina blogs were particularly popular. Everyone who wrote blogs used to go to Sina. Later on, Sina Weibo became popular, and everyone browsed Weibo, watched hot topics and celebrities, and went on Weibo.
Why can't we fight
Because of the mobile Internet. Sohu used to be a PC portal where people watched news on their computers. Nowadays is the era of mobile phones, and everyone uses their phones to access the internet. Sina Weibo has started, and everyone is browsing Weibo on their phones. Sohu is still a PC portal, and no one is watching Sohu on their phones anymore. And Sohu doesn't have its own celebrity products, Weibo and WeChat are all owned by others.
